Scar With Carpal Tunnel Surgery

You will have a scar following
carpal tunnel surgery. Most often, these scars heal without any problems. However, it is possible that you will develop an abnormal scar with carpal tunnel surgery, especially if you have a history of keloids (excessive, thick scarring). If you are concerned about this, it is a good idea to consult with a dermatologist and your physician about your specific case. Keep in mind that the appearance of the scar does not predict the results of your operation. Even patients with enlarged scars can have excellent surgical results.
