Pain After Carpal Tunnel Surgery

You can expect to have swelling and pain after
carpal tunnel surgery. Swelling normally occurs at the base of the palm and can last for 12 to 16 weeks following the surgery. During this time, it is common to experience an aching pain in the hand and occasional shooting pains in the forearm. These pains usually improve as the swelling goes down.
